MY SPRING SHADOWS

slow purple rain 片片紫絮

falling like severed wings 像飞蛾断落的翅膀

of great mauve moths 飘然而下

so slowly that the eye notes 一闪，一闪

one and turning away 眼神早已来不及

one and one more in the 锁住这

cornered blink 一片，转眼又飘走的另一片

but in the morning 清晨

these lawns and steps 草坪，阶梯

and paving slabs in bright panoply 和铺着光洁瓷砖的人行道上

are strewn with a royal shadow 厚厚地散落一层层的紫色阴影

and I marvel then 我惊讶万分

how where in the deep white sand 花园中这一片白沙地

that underlies my garden 是怎样被这一树的蓝花楹

by what alchemy my jacaranda 用魔法变成了

found so much purple 比最伟大的王

richer than vestments 身穿的礼服上还要多的一袭紫色

of a whole line 来专门为我铺设

of mightiest kings 这一抹

to make my spring shadows 春的魅影
